Important Subhadra Yojana Announcement - March 1, 2025

Deputy CM Pravati Parida has announced that 1.7 lakh women who missed their fifth-phase first installment will receive it on March 6, 2025. The fifth-phase second installment will be released on March 8, 2025.

Additionally, eligible beneficiaries can still apply for Subhadra Yojana until March 31, 2025. Those who apply within this timeframe will receive all three installments together on Raksha Bandhan.

Subhadra Yojana Eligibility:

Women must meet specific conditions to qualify for the Subhadra Yojana.

Age and Residency:

  • Must be an Odisha resident.
  • Age must be between 21 and 60 years on the qualifying date.
  • For 2024-25, birthdate must be between July 2, 1964, and July 1, 2003.

Note: The Aadhaar card serves as the official document for age verification. Authorities will consider the date of birth on the Aadhaar card for the final age calculation.

Economic Criteria:

  • Must be covered under NFSA or SFSS.
  • If not covered, family income must be ₹2.5 lakh or less per year.
  • Must not receive government aid exceeding ₹1,500 per month.

Who is Not Eligible?

Women in the following categories cannot receive benefits under this scheme:

Receiving Government Financial Aid:

Women who get ₹1,500 or more per month (or ₹18,000 annually) from any Central or State Government scheme, including pensions or scholarships, are not eligible.

Belonging to Specific Categories:

If the woman or any family member is in any of these categories, she is ineligible:

  • A current or former Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
  • A taxpayer under the Income Tax Act.
  • An elected representative in an Urban Local Body or Panchayati Raj Institution (except Ward Members and Councillors).
  • A permanent or contractual employee of the Central or State Government, PSU, Board, Local Body, or any Government Organization, or a pensioner.
  • A nominated, appointed, or elected representative in any Government Department, Board, or Organization.

Asset Ownership Restrictions:

  • Owns more than 5 acres of irrigated land or 10 acres of non-irrigated land.
  • Owns a four-wheeler (except tractors, mini-trucks, or light commercial vehicles used for livelihood).
Note:
  • Honorarium-based workers such as ASHA, Anganwadi Workers, Community Resource Persons, and Master Book Keepers, as well as those working under outsourcing agencies or engaged in part-time or casual work are eligible if they meet other criteria.
  • Under The National Food Security Act (NFSA) and The State Food Security Scheme (SFSS), a family includes people who:
    1. Live together in the same household.
    2. Share meals from a common kitchen.

  • You have an Aadhaar card in your name.
  • Your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar for e-KYC verification.
  • You have a single-holder bank account linked to Aadhaar and DBT.
